The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers on behalf of the company, actively prospecting for new accounts, and maximizing sales potential with existing customers. This role is the primary representative of our organization and must convey expertise in our services and capabilities. 

  Responsibilities: 

  • Manages sales relationship, growth and profitability of new and existing accounts within territory or market 
  • Increase revenue and margin within existing accounts 
  • Meets or exceeds target for prospects, sales, and gross profit 
  • Maintains up-to-date customer, prospect, and competitive database with contacts, address, telephone, e-mail, fax information and strategic portfolio plan 
  • Maintain a driving record in good standing per Abatix criteria 
  • Manages pricing for assigned accounts within the guidelines of the company 
  • Provides customers with information on new products and services 
  • Provides problem resolution for customers 
  • Supports inventory efforts as required 
  • Participate and represent Abatix Corp. in local trade associations 
  • Other projects and duties as assigned 

  

Job Requirements 

  • 2+ years sales experience preferred in the safety, construction, environmental, or restoration industries 
  • Provide and maintain adequate personal vehicle and insurance to be used in the performance of your duties 
  • Outgoing; able to strike up a business relationship and build rapport instantly 
  • Self-starter; highly results-oriented with a high level of professionalism 
  • Superior verbal communicator; excellent written communication skills (English) 
  • Ability to apply effective solutions through value added products, services and consultation 
  • Strong negotiating and closing skills 
  • Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills 
  • Product Knowledge within industries served
  • Professional appearance 
  • Valid driver’s license
