Position Overview:
Abatix is seeking a motivated Field Customer Service Representative to assist with the operations of our inventory management program, based out of our corporate headquarters in Mesquite, TX. This individual contributor role ensures all Conex boxes, vending machines, and tool cribs are compliant, fully stocked and functioning as expected. You will be part of a larger team that ensures we are delivering exceptional customer satisfaction within our inventory management program. The position requires some travel to various locations, along with the ability to drive and lift heavy boxes. The ideal candidate excels in field service and customer-facing roles, with experience in industrial safety and supply as a plus but not required.

Pay Range: DOE (Depending on Experience)

Job Description:
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to ensure inventory program compliance, audit and maintain stock levels, and validate operational functionality
  • Load, unload, and stock inventory, including lifting heavy boxes of products
  • Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on vending machines and inventory equipment to ensure functionality
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to inventory, stock levels, or equipment performance
  • Using our inventory software, maintain accurate records of inventory, restocking activities, and customer interactions
  • Build strong relationships with site managers and customers to enhance service quality
  • Recommend process improvements to streamline operations and improve customer experience
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in field service or customer-facing roles
  • Experience in industrial safety and supply is a plus but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Motivation, dependability, and punctuality
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
